After graduating from the enriched Business Leadership Program at University of Puget Sound in 2006, I began my career at Bank of Hawaii and cherished the exposure to commercial real estate loans and complex financial analysis. I am a quick learner and was promoted three times within a year and a half. However, given the economic climate at the end of 2007, an offer to join a successful real estate company specializing in foreclosures was an opportunity I could not pass up. As the company’s Acquisitions manager, I developed and implemented the systems that turned a well-capitalized but poorly organized company into the third largest private foreclosure purchaser in the state of Hawaii. In order to facilitate the sales of the properties acquired, I became a licensed Real Estate Agent and Loan Originator, which gave me great experience in residential real estate. Although I loved my job, I missed my family and decided to return permanently back to Chicago in the summer of 2011.
Upon arriving in Chicago I accepted a position as a property manager with Connected Property Management. Managing twenty condo associations provided a gave me first hand exposure to the intricacies of the local real estate market and the Illinois Condo Act. However, there weren’t any growth opportunities for me with the company and I returned to being an underwriter of commercial real estate at Republic Bank of Chicago in June 2012 while I searched for the perfect job.
I couldn’t imagine a better opportunity than to join Patrick Lynch and eXp Realty. Patrick is the consummate professional and I am eager to contribute to eXp’s momentum as we continue to define the real estate brokerage of the future.
